ABOUT

Ophélie Le Clech

PHILOSOPHY

Naturally versatile and curious, I enjoy exploring various creative fields, whether in product or interior design, or other diverse arts. It is important for me to always experiment with a childlike sense of wonder !

In product design, I like to break archetypes, revisit simple needs, and enable users to stand out. I often strive to create playful or narrative universes.

In interior design, I don’t have a fixed "architectural signature," since my approach is primarily inspired by each client’s profile. In a pragmatic way, I always aim to facilitate their habits and daily routines, streamline circulation, and optimize storage as best as possible. Aesthetically, to avoid boredom in the spaces, it is important for me to define balanced viewpoints and to integrate two or three surprising elements — the "wow effects." These can be a hidden storage solution, a majestic staircase, or a characterful restroom...

By attentively listening to the smallest needs to propose tailored solutions, each project develops a unique identity.

Ultimately, an interior designer is a bit like a psychologist specialized in spaces. ☺

BACKGROUND

FROM PARIS...

Specialized in luxury interior design, I first worked at the interior design agency Borella Art Design, where I participated in the design of luxury yachts, residences and hotels around the world.

I was then lucky enough to join Maison LALIQUE, in the Lalique Interior Design Studio for 5 years. I designed bespoke crystal compositions with an architectural dimension, to be integrated into prestigious public and residential areas. I also designed crystal products for the interior design catalog.

In 2022, I divided my time in two activities. I was both an interior designer for Maison Sarah Lavoine, where I worked as part of a team to create hotels, restaurants, lounge bars, spas... At the same time, I was a lecturer at EFET STUDIO CREA, where I taught Product Design and Global Design to interior architecture students from 1st to 5th year (for two academic years). ...A truly fascinating experience!

... TO MONTREAL

Driven by the desire to explore different design approaches and to deepen my own personal path, I chose to settle in Montreal in 2023. In order to fully grasp the specifics of local design, I carried out several assignments with various Montreal interior design agencies.

And in January 2024, I became head of the interior design department at general contractor Échelle Humaine. There, I designed numerous residential projects, developed a well-functioning methodology as a team, and acquired a good knowledge of Quebec construction techniques and codes, given that colleagues were: superintendents, site managers, project directors ☺. The company came to an end in February 2025.

Since June 2025, I am a member of the Professional Association of Interior Designers of Quebec (APDIQ). This reflects my commitment to excellence, allowing me to stay up to date with industry developments, pursue ongoing professional training, and maintain an ethical and integrity-driven practice.

→ And now, I design projects independently in Montreal,

whether you call on me as an individual, a business,

a design agency or a general contractor in need of a partnership !
